The month of November started on a very exciting note with the Golden Jubilee birthday celebration of an amiable educationist and cheerful supporter of children’s welfare- Mrs. Olawunmi Jewel Olowe, the Founder/Director at Questland College, Iju-Ishaga, Lagos.
That was on the 1st day of November and everyone was actually in high spirit. As early as 8am, the celebrant drove in with two of her childhood friends and took to the dancing floor, singing praises to God.
Indeed Mrs. Olowe has every reason to roll out the drums in praise of the Most High. It is a miracle that she is alive to mark her 50th birthday. Giving a soul-lifting testimony of her battle with sickness, she narrated how for two years, she had a tough battle with a strange illness that turned her into an invalid that was being carried from one hospital to another without any respite. All hope was lost but miraculously she survived in answer to the fervent prayer of believers and gradually bounced back to life.
Her testimony was quite moving; and so we danced and danced in praise and thanksgiving. The children also took turns to pray for her and her family, while thanking her for the sumptuous gifts she brought for them.
It was indeed praise unlimited that as she later hosted a 5-hour Praise Service in her school hall with parents, teachers, students, friends and family in attendance!
